Is executive Coordinator of the Interamerican Network of Women's Shelters, which incorporates 17 countries of the American Continent, and CEO of ITA social boutique, organization focused on innovation, communication and people's potential regarding social change and gender equality.
Her professional background includes several radio series about literature and women issues. She launched the magazine Contemporary Woman and as an author, Margarita has published more than 10 theoretical books about Citizenship, Grassroots Networks, Empowerment, Women’s rights, Team’s High Performance and Quality Standards and Indicators for women shelters. She had developed several institutional Models and protocols and created two mechanism for international collaboration and governmental protection for VAW survivors on the American continent. She is coordinator of the Policy Committee at the GNWS.
Currently Margarita is producing and directing the film “Ruta 94” about creativity and resilience of women and girls to face VAW in context of international organized crime, armed conflict and migration.
